Gambian sprinter Adama Jammeh finished fifth in the 200memters of the 2015 IAAF World Championship in the Birds Nest stadium in Beijing, China, clocking 20:81, a timing short of a spot in the semi-final.
Jammeh ran in heat six (6) alongside Karol Zalewski of Poland, Robin Erewa of Germany, Mosito Lehata of Lesotho, Daniel Talbot of Great Britain, Wallace Spearmon of USA, Warren Weir of Jamaica and Likourgos-Stefanos Tsakaas of Germany.
Adama finished fifth, clocking 20:81, a timing below his personal best which is 20:59seconds. It was visible prior to Adama’s race that he should run his heart out to win a place in the semifinal hence his running mates have better timing.
Despite all odds Jammeh outclashed Meosito Lehata of Germany who finished last in the race.
