Representatives of elite football clubs in The Gambia will on Wednesday, December 30, 2015 converge to review the almost ending year and look ahead to the budget and activities reports of the ensuing year.
The event which will bring delegates from league clubs, regions and allied associations will take place at the Friendship Hotel Hall, Independence Stadium in Bakau at 10am. The constitutional provision confab will avail stakeholders the opportunity to discuss the budget for 2016 and also critique audited accounts and financial statement as well as look into the activity report of the federation.
As customary, while some delegates will easily pass the reports presented, other delegates with eagle eyes will be looking for the loopholes in all the reports with a view to putting in a better financial discipline and putting in place activities that are SMART (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic and Time Bound.)
The AGM will clarified rumours such as paying fat bonuses to executive whenever they convene executive meetings and per diems when they travel with the national team or on official missions. The AGM might also raise issues relating to sponsorship package that many have always been asking for since they came on board to sponsor the national team.
Some unconfirmed reports have it the current GFF pays over 90 pounds as per Diem as opposed the 90 pounds the ousted executive paid for nightly allowance during their short stay.
