The Father Gough Sports Complex is the center of attraction this weekend as it prepares to host two much talked about matches in the women and men’s division one leagues respectively.
On Friday, all roads will lead to Manjai where Interior ladies will host Armed Forces ladies. The two are all on three points after both sides began their campaign with wins over Abuko United and Brikama United ladies respectively in week one of the women’s league.
The two service teams are all looking to affirm their grip of the top spot with Red Scorpions taking on a weaker opponent, Brikama United, a day later at the Box Bar Mini Stadium in Brikama.
The remaining fixture in the women top flight will see Abuko United take on Immigration on Sunday at the Box Bar Mini Stadium.
Meanwhile on Sunday, the Manjai Sports Complex will host another mouthwatering tie in the male division one league. Title contenders, Samger who are on a fine run of form will take on under-achieving, Real de Banjul.
Both sides are showing contrasting results week-in-week-out as Samger seemed to be a team to beat while the city club, Real is yet to find a firm footing on the league that has entered week seven.
