Mustapha Manneh coach of the Gambian champions Gamtel says his charges are ready to upset visiting Olympique Club de Khouribga in the second leg of their CAF Champions League preliminary qualifier in Bakau's Independence Stadium on Saturday 27th February at 16:00 GMT.
The former Gambia U-20 boss was speaking to NnaGambia News after a friendly with local side Real De Banjul in which his team came from behind to beat the 12-time Gambian champions 2-1.
"The test match with Real De Banjul will help us prepare for Khouribga on Saturday".
The Telecom team registered a convincing win in the league against Samger ahaed of the friendly with Real De Banjul.
"The last two matches with Samger FC and Real De Banjul were good because we faced though opponents".
Gamtel will be looking to overturn a 2-1 deficit after loosing the first leg in Marrakech a fortnight ago.
"These two teams are very good on the ball and are similar to Khouribga, so playing them will help us for the second leg". Said Manneh.
The former defender believes the match with Khouribga will be a tactical masterclass.
"I believe it's going to be a tactical game and they would come out to delay everything but our role is to score and deny them from scoring".
"They're slow starters and they have skillful players but they cannot play for ninty minutes so that can be an advantage for Gamtel".
"We're underdogs in this tie so we're not under pressure and we're going to win and progress".
