Abuko United and Interior ladies both have the chance to put league leaders Red Scorpions and Armed Forces under pressure on Friday and Saturday respectively in the ongoing women’s division one league.
Both Abuko and Interior will entertain the whipping girls of the league, Brikama United and Immigration ladies on Friday and Saturday. Struggling Brikama United will host Abuko United on Friday, February 05, 2016 at the Box Bar Mini Stadium while Immigration host Interior on Saturday, February 06, 2016 at the Serekunda West Mini Stadium.
A win for Abuko and Interior will see both sides move joint top with Red Scorpions and Armed Forces who are both on six points. They aren’t in action until Sunday, February 7, 2016 when the battle for total control of women football at the Serekunda East Mini Stadium.
The Sunday tie is a top of the table clash and promises to be a cracker hence the Armed Forces ladies have grown to become a title challenger. This, they prove beating Interior 2-0 in week two of the ongoing league thus, sending the right signal to Red Scorpions who seems to be enjoying their football since they thrashed Interior 2-0 in the super cup final.
Meanwhile in the second division, league leaders Future Bi will play host to Company Ten on Friday afternoon at the Box Bar Mini Stadium in Birkama.
On Saturday, Jam City who occupy bottom spot will lock horns with Jeshwang United at the Serekunda West Mini Stadium at 2:30pm while on Sunday City Girls host Kinteh’s FC at the Serekunda East Mini Stadium at 2:30pm.
