Gambia and Swansea winger, Modou Barrow has said that the most important for him is to get the playing time so that when he goes back to his team he can fit in the club. He was speaking to Blackburn media channel after his loan move from Swansea City, Nna Gambia News can report.
“We have a lot of good players at Swansea. The squad is big now. For me, the most important thing is to get 90mins games and hope that when I get back I am ready.
Barrow said that he prefers playing as a winger to have an opportunity to run at defenders and create space and opportunities for the strikers.
“Where I play to be honest depends on where the gaffer wants to put me because I can play anywhere from the middle to upfront but I prefer playing on the winger where I have the opportunity to face defenders, beat them and create an opportunity for strikers.
“I have a good pace and I love to use it in game and I am not scared to take on defenders to create the something for and to push the team to have more confidence,” Barrow said.
The Gambian winger said he has taken to loan move positively knowing that the championship is tougher with a lot of running.
He said: “It’s not a big difference to be honest. The premiership teams are bigger but the championship is hard. They run a lot, they do tackling so if you can make it from here that means you can do well in the premiership too.”
He also talked about how fast he is, how he got to Sweden, how he feels being Gambian and how many languages he speak. You will be surprise which language he named first.
